Treatment

The Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH) does not operate substance use disorder programs. However, ADMH is responsible for regulating Alabama’s public substance use treatment delivery system. These data represents substance use disorder treatment episodes in Alabama from providers throughout the state who offer outpatient and residential services to ADMH clients that occurred between January 2014 and March 2024.

Some data may be preliminary and subject to change. If no year is indicated on a worksheet or dataset, then the data is a summation of all ten years. If county level data is provided, only Alabama residents are included. Each visualization uses a separate summary dataset to protect identifiable information. To further protect identifiable information, summary data must have a minimum of 10 to be included in the dataset.
